With over two decades of dedication to the martial arts, Professor Raul Montolfo has devoted his life to preserving and sharing the values, traditions, and techniques of Jiu Jitsu and Japanese martial arts. For 17 years, he served as the senior instructor at the prestigious Morumbí Academy under the guidance of Professor Fabio Leopoldo, where he played an instrumental role in developing hundreds of students in both Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and traditional martial arts philosophy.

Professor Raul’s journey began with a passion not just for the physical discipline of martial arts, but for the deeper lessons of respect, humility, and inner stillness that come from years of focused practice in these arts. He has trained extensively in both Brazilian Jiu Jitsu ( Ne Waza) and Kenjutsu (Japanese sword arts), emphasizing proper etiquette, discipline, and the timeless warrior ethos.

Now, as the head instructor of Morumbí Jiu Jitsu Camarillo, Professor Raul brings a traditional yet practical approach to martial arts instruction. His Academy (Dojo) is rooted in the principles of Bushido, Zen, and the philosophy that a teacher’s role is not to seek praise, but to humbly walk alongside their students in mutual learning — the spirit behind his motto: “Home of the Untalented Teacher.”

With a curriculum focused on strong fundamentals and respect for the lineage of the art, Professor Raul aims to create a community where students of all ages and backgrounds can grow in both technique and character.
